This circular saw features BL™ brushless motor that delivers 5,000 RPM, maximum versatility and performance for up to 50% longer run time, increased power and speed. Eliminating the carbon brushes, this BL™ brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life. It has Automatic Speed Change™ technology that helps to adjust cutting speed and torque during cutting for optimum performance. Tool powered by an 18 Volt Lithium-Ion battery assures fastest charge time, more working time and minimal sitting time on the charger. Circular saw has large cutting capacity of 2-1/4 Inch at 90 degree and 1-5/8 Inch at 45 degree. Electric brake allows the tool to reposition faster for enhanced productivity. Saw featured with Star Protection Computer Controls™, allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time. This saw with battery, weighs only 6.4 lb and has rubberized soft grip handle that reduces user fatigue and provides increased comfort on the job.
